According to statistics from SunSirs, this week, the trend of seamless tubes is still weak and stable. As of the weekend, the price of 20#, 108*4.5 seamless tube was 5,117.5 RMB/ton, down 0.15% from the price of 5,125 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week and down 20.04% year-on-year.

Analysis review

For the upstream billets, the ex-factory price of Dongfang hot-rolled billets was 4,270 yuan, the same as last week, and the ex-factory price of Xintiangang 20# hot-rolled billets was 4,020 yuan, down 30 yuan from last week. Taizong in Linyi area stopped production for maintenance until after the National Day holiday, but this week, the shipments of the pipe factories were average, and the inventory was relatively high.

Market outlook

With the gradual fading of factors such as the epidemic, high temperature, and power cuts, market demand is expected to gradually improve in mid-to-late September. However, due to the economic recession, the boost in demand may be limited. It is expected that the price of seamless tubes will be mainly stable with small adjustment in the short term.
