Price trend

According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, as of March 24, 2022, the price of polyamide DTY (premium product; 70D/24F) in Jiangsu was 19,880 RMB/ton, down 120 RMB/ton from the previous trading day's price and down 460 RMB/ton from Monday's price; the price of nylon POY (premium; 86D/24F) was 17,425 RMB/ton, down 125 RMB/ton from the previous trading day's price and down 400 RMB/ton from Monday's price; the price of nylon FDY (premium product: 40D/12F) was reported at 20,725 RMB/ton, down 75 RMB/ton from the previous trading day's price and 425 RMB/ton from Monday's price.

Analysis review

Recently, the supporting role of upstream costs has weakened, the supply of goods in the field is sufficient, and the demand in the downstream terminal market has always been general. On March 24, the polyamide market continued to run weakly and prices fell.

Demand side: Nylon manufacturers have maintained a high level of construction, and the supply of goods in the field is sufficient. Although manufacturers are actively shipping goods, the downstream terminal market has always been in general demand and purchased on demand. The overall transaction is not optimistic.

Market outlook

Due to the current poor market for raw materials and the decline in cost support, downstream purchases are made on demand, the demand is general, and the supply of goods in the field is sufficient. The industry is mainly cautious and wait-and-see. Analysts of SunSirs predict that the polyamide market will operate weakly in the short term, and it is recommended to pay attention to the changes in the raw material market.
