SunSirs: Down in the Off-season, Vitamins Run Sluggishly

January 20 2022 14:38:15SunSirs(John)

Price trend

According to the monitoring of SunSirs, the domestic vitamin C market is stable on the surface, but it actually declines secretly. The current mainstream price of food-grade vitamin C is 46-48 RMB/kg, and the mainstream price of feed-grade vitamin C is 38-42 RMB/kg. Demand continues to be weak, and there is more room for negotiation. Some traders stop reporting, and prices are negotiated individually.

Upstream: Corn prices are mixed. It is expected that during the middle and late January, the overall price of corn will continue to fluctuate and rise. It is possible for the monthly average price to rise slightly or fall slightly. We prefer the possibility of a small month-on-month decline.

The price of vitamin A fell this week, and the average price of feed-grade vitamin A was 276 RMB/kg. The mainstream price of vitamin A is 260-275 RMB/kg, and the price in the European market is 69-72.5 euros/kg. Vitamin prices have continued to fall due to weak demand recently.

The vitamin E market was running smoothly this week, and the average price of feed-grade vitamin E was stable at 89 RMB/kg. The mainstream market quotation is around 85-88 RMB/kg, and the European market quotation this week is 10.6-11 euros/kg. In the off-season of demand, prices remained stable, but the focus of market discussions shifted downward.

Market outlook

The vitamin analyst of SunSirs believes: On the whole, the overall vitamin market maintains a downward trend. The market outlook needs to pay close attention to the opening and parking status of enterprises and the delivery of goods.
