According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, the market price of ammonium chloride fell this week (12.3-12.10). As of December 10, the price was around 1,132 RMB/ton, down 3.21% from the price at 1,170 RMB/ton on last Friday.

Analysis review

This week, the operating rate of Hou's alkali had increased to more than 70%, and the pressure on the supply side was gradually showing, while the operating rate of downstream compound fertilizer companies had remained at 30 to 40%.The winter storage had started, and downstream purchases had increased recently, but the overall situation was mostly small orders, and the actual progress of the winter storage was not satisfactory.

The raw material liquid ammonia fell again this week, and the cost side weakened again. According to the monitoring of SunSirs, as of December 10, the domestic liquid ammonia price was 4,410 RMB/ton, down 4.75% from the price of 4,630 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week.

Urea prices fell slightly this week, and the impact on ammonium chloride would be mainly bearish. According to the monitoring of SunSirs, as of December 10, the domestic urea price was 2,456 RMB/ton, down 1.68% from the price on last Friday.

Market outlook

The ammonium chloride analyst of SunSirs believes that on the one hand, the supply side has increased, on the other hand, the cost has weakened again, and the demand has not improved significantly. It is expected that the price of the ammonium chloride market will consolidate and weaken in the short term.
