Rare earth market analysis:
Prices for mainstream rare earth products saw a slight decline today. The average price of praseodymium-neodymium oxide fell by 0.13 million RMB/ton to 0.7293 million RMB/ton, while that of praseodymium-neodymium metal dropped by 0.14 million RMB/ton to 0.8828 million RMB/ton. Dysprosium oxide's average price decreased by 1.11 million RMB/ton to 1.4256 million RMB/ton, and terbium oxide's average price fell by 0.06 million RMB/ton to 6.6650 million RMB/ton. There was limited transaction data today for products such as praseodymium oxide, neodymium oxide, lutetium oxide, europium oxide, and lanthanum-cerium oxide; please treat these figures with caution.
Currently, the rare earth market continues to undergo volatile adjustments. Major producers of praseodymium-neodymium products have generally kept their quotes stable, though a few traders have lowered prices to stimulate sales; however, orders from magnetic material manufacturers have fallen short of expectations, leading most to maintain low inventory levels. Overall market buying interest remains weak, with actual transactions driven primarily by immediate needs. Regarding medium-to-heavy rare earths, the prices of dysprosium oxide and terbium oxide have continued to pull back, while prices for other products have remained generally stable. Overall, trading activity is at a stalemate as most market participants adopt a wait-and-see approach; prices are expected to fluctuate within a narrow range in the short term.
