MTBE prices in Asian, European, and US international markets all closed lower, with the European market recording a decline of $73/tonne. This overall weakness in international markets is expected to lower MTBE import costs and exert downward pressure on domestic spot prices; related futures contracts are also likely to trade with a bearish bias due to the weak sentiment in international markets.
