For the week ending August 27, 2026, net sales of U.S. soybean oil for the 2025/26 marketing year totaled 1,300 tonnes, up from 400 tonnes the previous week.
Regarding the spot market, the sharp rise in 2025/26 U.S. soybean oil net sales—from 400 tonnes to 1,300 tonnes—reflects robust external demand. This supports global soybean oil prices and indirectly benefits domestic spot prices. On the futures front, the benchmark soybean oil contract (2701) on the Dalian Commodity Exchange closed at 9,123 RMB/tonne on September 3, 2026, an increase of 47 RMB/tonne from the previous trading day. Trading volume stood at 595,600 lots, with open interest at 786,200 lots; the market trend remained generally bullish, with strong external demand providing a positive boost to soybean oil futures prices.
