1. [Tires] On August 31, 2026, Canada initiated anti-dumping and countervailing duty investigations into truck and bus tires from China. The products involved are tires for medium and heavy-duty vehicles with rim diameters ranging from 17.5 to 24.5 inches. The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has simultaneously launched a "Section 20" investigation into surrogate country pricing; an affirmative finding would significantly raise duty rates. The investigation period for anti-dumping and countervailing duties covers April 2025 to March 2026.

2. [Tires] On August 30, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the high-performance off-highway tire relocation and expansion project of Weihai Zhongwei Rubber Co., Ltd. at its new site in the Chucun Town Industrial Park, Weihai High-tech Zone. With a total investment of 584 million RMB, the project occupies a land area of ​​over 88,000 square meters and has a planned construction area exceeding 106,000 square meters. It will be built in two phases, with full completion and production scheduled for 2028.

3. [EVA] On September 2, the EVA market in Shandong trended upward, with traders slightly raising their offers. Currently, mainstream quotes for Sierbang V6020M range from 9,900 to 10,050 RMB/tonne.

4. [BR] On September 2, Sinopec Sales Company raised the ex-factory price of butadiene rubber (BR) by 400 RMB/tonne; quotes for BR from Qilu, Yanshan, Yangzi, and Maoming are now at 15,500 RMB/tonne.

5. [SBR] On September 2, Sinopec raised the ex-factory price of styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) by approximately 400 RMB/tonne; Qilu 1502/1502E is quoted at 15,500 RMB/tonne (ex-factory, tax-inclusive).

6. [Natural Rubber] On September 2, the natural rubber market in Qingdao retreated from high levels, and spot traders slightly lowered their offers. Mainstream quotes for 2024-production Yunbao/Guangkeng/Haibao rubber are 17,800–18,000 RMB/tonne; 2025-production Yunbao/Guangkeng/Haibao rubber is quoted at 18,000–18,200 RMB/tonne; and Vietnamese 3L rubber is quoted at 18,650–18,850 RMB/tonne. 7. [Natural Rubber] On September 2, market prices for natural rubber raw materials in Thai producing regions saw slight increases: Ribbed Smoked Sheets (RSS) were quoted at 85.75 THB/kg (up 0.25 THB/kg); field latex at 78.50 THB/kg (up 0.50 THB/kg); and cup lump at 72.00 THB/kg (up 0.50 THB/kg).
