1. [Polybutadiene Rubber (BR)] Qilu Petrochemical’s 70,000-ton/year high-cis polybutadiene rubber unit is scheduled to shut down for maintenance starting August 31, 2026.

TSRC-UBE (Nantong) Chemical Industry’s 72,000-ton/year cobalt-catalyzed high-cis polybutadiene rubber unit began a maintenance shutdown on August 28, 2026, with the work expected to last approximately three weeks.

Haopu New Material Technology Co., Ltd.’s 60,000-ton/year high-cis polybutadiene rubber unit began operating at reduced capacity on August 31, 2026.

2. [Styrene-Butadiene Rubber (SBR)] Shenhua Chemical Rubber Co., Ltd.’s 170,000-ton/year SBR facility (comprising three production lines) reduced its operating rate to 60% starting August 24; a maintenance shutdown is planned for September 2.

Zhejiang Weitai Rubber Co., Ltd.’s 100,000-ton/year SBR unit shut down for maintenance on August 27, 2026, due to the impact of a typhoon, and resumed feedstock input for restart on August 31, 2026.

3. [Natural Rubber] On August 31, the market for natural rubber raw materials in Thailand showed stable-to-rising trends: Ribbed Smoked Sheet (RSS) was quoted at 85.50 THB/kg (stable); field latex was quoted at 78.00 THB/kg (up 0.30 THB/kg); and cup lump was quoted at 71.15 THB/kg (up 0.20 THB/kg).

4. [Natural Rubber] The latest report from the ANRPC (Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries) for July 2026 forecasts that global natural rubber production for the month will fall by 5.2% year-on-year to 1.321 million tonnes (an increase of 6.3% month-on-month), while consumption is expected to rise by 0.8% year-on-year to 1.297 million tonnes (an increase of 0.3% month-on-month). For the first seven months of the year, cumulative global production is projected to decline by 2.3% to 7.426 million tonnes, and cumulative consumption is expected to drop by 1.6% to 8.759 million tonnes.
