SunSirs: Domestic Titanium Dioxide Market Prices Fell Last Week (August 3-7)
August 10 2026 13:36:56SunSirs(John)

Price trend

Taking the sulfate-process rutile titanium dioxide—which sees significant sales volume in the domestic market—as an example, data monitored by SunSirs indicates a decline in domestic market prices last week: the average price fell from 15,460 RMB/ton on Monday to 14,780 RMB/ton by the weekend, a decrease of 4.4%.

Market analysis

Domestic titanium dioxide prices declined last week. On the upstream raw material front, market prices for both sulfuric acid and titanium concentrate fell; meanwhile, the downstream market was in its off-season, characterized by sluggish demand and low purchasing enthusiasm, causing the market center of gravity for titanium dioxide to shift downward. As of the end of last week, domestic quotes for rutile-grade titanium dioxide (produced via the sulfuric acid process) mostly ranged from 14,300 to 16,000 RMB/ton, while anatase-grade quotes hovered around 12,800-13,200 RMB/ton; actual transaction prices were determined on a case-by-case basis.

Market outlook

Analysts at SunSirs observe that the domestic titanium dioxide market trended downward last week. As of the end of the week, demand in the end-user market had not shown significant improvement, and trading remained sluggish. Market conditions are expected to remain weak in the short term, with actual transaction prices determined on a case-by-case basis.
