Rare earth market analysis:
Prices for mainstream rare earth products saw a slight decline today. The average price of praseodymium-neodymium oxide fell by 0.05 million RMB/ton to 0.7549 million RMB/ton, while praseodymium-neodymium metal dropped by 0.052 million RMB/ton to 0.9175 million RMB/ton. Dysprosium oxide fell by 0.049 million RMB/ton to 1.4090 million RMB/ton, and terbium oxide decreased by 0.438 million RMB/ton to 6.7900 million RMB/ton. There was limited transaction data today for products such as praseodymium oxide, neodymium oxide, lutetium oxide, europium oxide, and lanthanum-cerium oxide; please treat these figures with caution.
Currently, prices for most rare earth varieties are trending weak. In the praseodymium-neodymium market, holders are maintaining stable quotes, with only a few offering price concessions; trading activity is concentrated on lower-priced supplies. Downstream magnetic material manufacturers are purchasing praseodymium-neodymium metal based on immediate needs but show limited acceptance of higher prices, resulting in a generally subdued trading atmosphere. Regarding medium-to-heavy rare earths, the price of terbium oxide has seen a significant pullback, and holders are increasingly willing to sell. Prices for minor varieties, such as holmium oxide, are also drifting slightly lower in line with the broader trend, even as spot market supply remains relatively tight. Overall, market sentiment remains cautious, lacking support from substantial positive factors.
