As of July 10, rapeseed inventories at major coastal oil plants stood at 392,000 tonnes, a decrease of 13,600 tonnes from the previous week.
The week-on-week decline in rapeseed inventories at major coastal plants—and the resulting tightening of raw material supplies—has provided cost support for rapeseed oil. On July 13, 2026, the benchmark rapeseed oil futures contract (2609) closed at 9,875 RMB/tonne, up 16 RMB/tonne from the previous trading day, with open interest rising by 4,571 lots; the futures price trended upward, and spot prices are also expected to rise, representing a moderately bullish signal.
The drop in rapeseed inventories at coastal plants has provided some cost-side support for rapeseed meal; however, on July 13, 2026, the benchmark rapeseed meal futures contract (2609) closed at 2,295 RMB/tonne, down 8 RMB/tonne from the previous trading day, with open interest falling by 20,380 lots. Despite short-term downward pressure on the futures market, the inventory decline remains a slightly positive factor for market trends.
