By the end of June, cumulative sugar sales in Guangxi totaled 5.028 million tonnes, while industrial inventories stood at 2.6694 million tonnes—an increase of 1.345 million tonnes year-on-year.
Regarding the spot market, the quoted price range of 5,240–5,290 RMB per tonne in Guangzhou represented a 20 RMB per tonne drop from the prior day. With Guangxi's industrial inventories reaching 2.6694 million tonnes by the end of June—up 1.345 million tonnes year-on-year—supply pressure has intensified significantly, exerting downward pressure on white sugar prices.
