Overseas MTBE closing prices increased on July 7: The Asian market closing price rose by $5.72/tonne from the previous trading day, with FOB Singapore prices settling at $796.23–$798.23/tonne. The European market closing price increased by $58/tonne, with FOB ARA prices settling at $1,160.99–$1,161.49/tonne. The US market closing price rose by $30.46/tonne, with FOB Gulf Coast prices settling at $1,173.73–$1,174.08/tonne (331.41–331.51 cents/gallon).
Global overseas MTBE prices closed higher across the board on July 7, with increases of $5.72/tonne, $58/tonne, and $30.46/tonne in the Asian, European, and US markets, respectively. This rise in overseas prices will increase domestic MTBE import costs, boost bullish market sentiment, and provide positive support for domestic MTBE spot prices.
