SunSirs: Bearish Outlook for U.S. Soybean Oil Exports – Commodity Market Analysis
July 03 2026 09:52:47SunSirs(Selena)

Analysts project that U.S. soybean oil net export sales for the week ending June 25, 2026, will range from 0 to 6,500 metric tons. For comparison, net sales for the 2024/25 marketing year stood at 2,200 metric tons in the previous week.

Regarding the spot market, the projected range of 0–6,500 metric tons represents only limited growth compared to the previous week's sales of 2,200 metric tons; weak overseas demand is exerting downward pressure on domestic spot prices. In the futures market, the benchmark soybean oil contract (2609) on the Dalian Commodity Exchange closed at 8,430 RMB/tonne on July 1, 2026—down 50 RMB/tonne from the previous trading day. With trading volume reaching 282,700 lots and open interest decreasing by 16,700 lots, combined with bearish news regarding exports, soybean oil futures face a high risk of downward pressure in the short term.
