On July 2, the domestic fuel oil market saw weak consolidation. Ex-warehouse quotes for low-sulfur 180cst fuel oil ranged from 5,800 to 6,300 RMB/tonne, while quotes for low-sulfur 120cst fuel oil ranged from 5,900 to 6,400 RMB/tonne.
In the spot market, conditions remained sluggish; support for spot prices was weak, and trading activity was quiet. On the futures front, fuel oil contracts on the Shanghai Futures Exchange—including both near-month and main contracts—generally closed lower. The main 2610 contract settled at 2,895 RMB/tonne, down 11 RMB/tonne from the previous trading day; the market overall faced downward pressure, signaling a weak short-term price trend.
