Price trend
According to the SunSirs monitoring and analysis system, as of June 26, the benchmark price of hydrofluoric acid stood at 15,466.67 RMB/ton, down 1.9% from the beginning of June.
Market analysis
Regarding raw materials, the price of fluorite has shown a trend of weak stability, while the price of sulfuric acid—another key raw material—has remained at a high level, providing some cost support for hydrofluoric acid. Overall, the weakening fluorite market and the high-level support from sulfuric acid have offset each other, resulting in a slight reduction in the strength of cost support from raw materials. According to the SunSirs analysis system, as of June 26, the benchmark price for fluorite stood at 3,393.75 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.73% compared to the beginning of the month (3,418.75 RMB/ton).
Demand side: Major downstream sectors are currently fulfilling existing contracts, with spot purchasing largely limited to replenishing inventory on an as-needed basis and little appetite for stockpiling. Due to sluggish transmission of end-market consumption, the actual pace of market shipments remains slow, and speculative demand within the trading sector is also subdued.
Market outlook
Analysts at SunSirs predict that, given the continued cost support and the determination of major producers to maintain price levels, the domestic anhydrous hydrogen fluoride market is expected to remain stable but sluggish in the short term; market participants should closely monitor potential marginal shifts driven by raw material factors and the external procurement activities of major downstream enterprises.
