Market analysis
Upstream propylene prices have fluctuated downward, yet cost support from isobutyraldehyde remains; Yantai Wanhua's neopentyl glycol is quoted at 7,950–8,100 RMB/ton (stable), while Luxi Chemical's quote stands at 6,800 RMB/ton (stable).
Downstream neopentyl glycol prices are stabilizing, and downstream purchasing interest has increased. Meanwhile, isobutyraldehyde operating rates have dropped, leading to reduced supply; while costs have declined and downstream demand has weakened, there is growing support for an upward trend in isobutyraldehyde prices, even as downward pressure persists.
