Macroeconomics

1. [US PMI] The preliminary US S&P Global Manufacturing PMI for June rose to 55.7, hitting a high since May 2022; the preliminary Services PMI rose to 51.3, a four-month high; and the preliminary Composite PMI rose to 52.2, a five-month high.

2. [Eurozone PMI] The Eurozone's preliminary Manufacturing PMI for June edged down to 51.3, but the Services PMI rose from 47.7 in May to 48.9, pushing the Composite PMI up to 49.5—a figure that exceeded expectations. Germany's manufacturing sector remained in expansion, but the services sector unexpectedly contracted further. France's manufacturing sector returned to expansion territory and its services sector saw a significant recovery, though it remained in contraction.

3. [European Autos] Data released by the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA) shows that EU passenger car sales grew by 3.2% in May 2026, reaching 955,013 units.

Agricultural Products

1. [Rapeseed Meal] As of June 19, rapeseed inventories at major coastal oil mills stood at 400,000 tonnes, up 40,000 tonnes week-on-week; rapeseed meal inventories were 27,800 tonnes, up 11,300 tonnes week-on-week; and outstanding contracts totaled 176,800 tonnes, up 15,800 tonnes week-on-week.

2. [Live Pigs] Customs data shows that China imported 70,000 tonnes of pork in May 2026, a decrease of 29.0% compared to the same period in 2025. Cumulative pork imports from January to May 2026 totaled 310,000 tonnes, down 29.9% from the same period in 2025.

3. [Vegetable Oil] Customs data shows that China's imports of edible vegetable oil totaled 500,000 tonnes in May 2026, up 8.2% year-on-year. Cumulative imports for January–May 2026 reached 2.93 million tonnes, an increase of 17.5% year-on-year.

4. [Corn] Customs data shows that China imported 60,000 tonnes of corn and corn flour in May 2026, down 69% from the 2025 level. Cumulative imports of corn and corn flour from January to May 2026 totaled 880,000 tonnes, up 39.4% from the same period in 2025.

5. [Corn] The USDA's weekly export inspection report indicates that US corn export inspections last week fell by 12% week-on-week and by 3% year-on-year. For the week ending June 18, 2026, US corn export inspections totaled 1,454,252 tonnes, compared to a revised 1,650,180 tonnes the previous week and 1,504,081 tonnes during the same period last year.

6. [Soybeans] The USDA export inspection report shows that US soybean export inspections dropped by 55% week-on-week but rose by 19% year-on-year. For the week ending June 18, 2026, U.S. soybean export inspections totaled 241,045 metric tons, compared to a revised 533,438 tons the previous week and 202,391 tons during the same period last year.

7. [Soybeans] The first forecast report for the 2026/27 crop year, released by AgRural on Monday, indicates that Brazil's soybean planted area for the upcoming season is projected to reach a record 49.006 million hectares—an increase of 443,000 hectares over the current crop year. This marks the 20th consecutive year of growth in Brazil's total soybean planted area.
