Price trend
According to the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, the average market price of 55% powdered ammonium biphosphate in the Hubei region was 4,280 RMB/ton on June 6 and 4,383 RMB/ton on June 12; the market price rose by 2.41% over the past week.
Market analysis
Last week, the market price of ammonium biphosphate trended upward with considerable strength. Driven by a sharp rise in the price of raw material sulfur and resulting cost pressures, market quotes for MAP climbed firmly. Manufacturers primarily focused on fulfilling existing orders, while downstream buyers purchased on an as-needed basis, leading to increased trading activity. As of June 12, market quotes for 55% powdered MAP stood at approximately 4,350-4,450 RMB/ton in Hubei, 4,450-4,500 RMB/ton in Henan, and around 4,200 RMB/ton in Sichuan.
Regarding the raw material sulfur, prices surged sharply again last week—surpassing the 10,000-yuan mark—driven by tensions in the Middle East. With port inventories continuing to decline and a significant gap between supply and demand, sulfur prices are expected to remain at high levels in the short term.
Market Outlook
Analysts at SunSirs observe that the market for ammonium biphosphate has recently been trending upward. Driven by cost support and tight supply, the market is expected to maintain a strong upward trajectory in the short term. It is recommended to monitor fluctuations in raw material prices.
