Price trend

On June 10, mainstream quotes in the South China toluene market ranged from 6,800 to 6,950 yuan/tonne, down 10 yuan/tonne from the previous trading day.

Specifically, the posted prices for toluene from Sinopec South China Company are as follows: 6,950 yuan/tonne for isomer-grade toluene from Guangzhou Petrochemical, 6,950 yuan/tonne for that from Maoming Petrochemical, and 6,950 yuan/tonne for that from Zhongke Refining & Chemical.

Market analysis

Crude oil prices retreated sharply overnight; although the decline in aromatics-related products narrowed during the night session, the overall bearish market sentiment remained unchanged. Spot toluene prices trended lower on the 9th, and the market continues to trade weakly, though the scope for further steep declines in the short term appears limited.

Future price movements will depend heavily on real-time fluctuations in crude oil and aromatics markets.
