On June 8, prices for natural rubber raw materials in Thai producing regions increased: Ribbed Smoked Sheets (RSS) were quoted at 95.00 THB/kg (up 1.00 THB/kg); field latex was quoted at 87.00 THB/kg (up 2.00 THB/kg); and cup lump was quoted at 75.15 THB/kg (up 0.15 THB/kg).
As a key global production hub for natural rubber, Thailand's across-the-board price increases for raw materials—RSS, field latex, and cup lump—provide significant cost-side support for natural rubber spot prices. Regarding futures, the closing price for the dominant natural rubber contract (2609) on the Shanghai Futures Exchange was 17,860 RMB/tonne on June 5, 2026; the bullish momentum from rising raw material costs is expected to drive natural rubber futures prices upward.
