[PMI] National Bureau of Statistics: In May, the Manufacturing PMI stood at 50.0%, a month-on-month decrease of 0.3 percentage points, resting at the critical threshold; the Non-manufacturing Business Activity Index was 50.1%, a month-on-month increase of 0.7 percentage points; and the Composite PMI Output Index was 50.5%, a month-on-month increase of 0.4 percentage points.

2. [BCI] In May 2026, the SunSirs Commodity Supply and Demand Index (BCI) registered -0.37, with an average price change of -2.17%.

Plastics and Rubber

1. [PP] Sinopec-SK (Zhonghan Petrochemical) operates three PP production units with a combined annual capacity of 700,000 tons. The first production line entered scheduled maintenance on May 25; a restart date has not yet been announced, while the remaining units are operating at normal capacity.

2. [PC] Luxi Chemical operates three PC production lines with an annual capacity of 300,000 tons. Two of these lines experienced a temporary shutdown in mid-May but have since resumed operations. Product supply is currently being sold via online bidding on the official website, with transactions settled in cash on an ex-works basis; market participants are adjusting their pricing in line with prevailing market trends, and sales performance remains satisfactory.
