Price Trends

Market analysis
Last week, market prices for potassium sulfate remained stable. Within the brine-based potassium sulfate segment, the delivered price for Xinjiang Luojia's 52% powder potassium sulfate stood at 3,600 RMB/ton, while the delivered price for Qinghai's 50% powder potassium sulfate was 3,650 RMB/ton. In the processed potassium sulfate segment, the average ex-factory price for Mannheim-process 50% powder potassium sulfate was 4,050 RMB/ton, and the average ex-factory price for Mannheim-process 52% powder potassium sulfate was 4,400 RMB/ton; both figures remained unchanged from the previous period.
With both supply and demand currently sluggish, the market has entered its traditional off-season; consequently, downstream buyers generally exhibit a low willingness to make purchases. Whether for the production of compound fertilizers or for direct agricultural application, market acceptance of current potassium sulfate price levels remains weak. Trading activity is currently dominated by small-volume orders, rendering it difficult to generate any effective upward momentum for prices. This lackluster demand places manufacturers under considerable pressure regarding product shipments.
Market Outlook
Market trading for potassium sulfate has fallen short of expectations; consequently, domestic potash fertilizer prices are projected to exhibit a predominantly volatile and weak trend in the short term.
