SunSirs: The Price of Anhydrous Hydrogen Fluoride Remained Stable at a High Level This Week (May 11–13)
May 14 2026 10:03:21SunSirs(John)

This week, the price of anhydrous hydrogen fluoride remained stable at a high level. According to data from the SunSirs analysis system, as of May 13, the benchmark price for hydrofluoric acid stood at 16,166.67 RMB/ton—an increase of 7.06% compared to the previous month.

Raw Materials: Currently, the resumption of work and production at select domestic fluorite mines and beneficiation plants is accelerating; operating rates have rebounded somewhat, and domestic spot supplies of fluorite appear slightly more ample. Consequently, the fluorite market is trending in a state of weak stability. Conversely, sulfuric acid supplies have contracted, leading to a sustained rise in market prices. With hydrofluoric acid benefiting from strong cost-side support, manufacturers demonstrate a firm resolve to maintain—or even raise—their pricing levels. According to data from the SunSirs analysis system, as of May 13, the SunSirs benchmark price for fluorite stood at 3,493.75 RMB/ton—a decrease of 0.71% compared to the beginning of the month (3,518.75 RMB/ton).

Demand Side: The downstream refrigerant sector is gradually entering its traditional peak production season. Demand for certain refrigerant grades is robust, creating a degree of rigid demand for hydrofluoric acid. However, buyers remain cautious and show limited tolerance for high-priced raw materials; purchasing activities are primarily focused on replenishing inventory on an as-needed basis, resulting in generally moderate market transaction volumes.

Market Outlook:

Rigid support from raw materials—fluorite and sulfuric acid—remains in place, while downstream demand shows a steady upward trend. In the short term, prices in the anhydrous hydrogen fluoride market are expected to remain firm at elevated levels. Future market developments will largely depend on changes in raw material supply and downstream demand.
