Data from shipping survey agencies indicates that Malaysia’s palm oil exports for the period of April 1–30, 2026, fell by 15.3% to 16.2% compared to the previous month. By comparison, exports during the April 1–25 period had declined by 15.7% to 16.8% month-on-month.
As a leading global producer of palm oil, Malaysia saw its April 2026 export volume drop by 15.3%–16.2% month-on-month. While this decline represents a slight narrowing compared to the drop recorded during the first 25 days of the month, the overall reduction in exports remains substantial. This trend reflects weak overseas demand, placing pressure on the depletion of palm oil inventories and exerting a generally bearish influence on prices.
