Data released by Brazil's Secretariat of Foreign Trade (SECEX) indicates that, as of mid-April 2026, Brazilian soybean meal exports are outpacing figures from the same period last year. From April 1 to April 17, soybean meal export volume totaled 1.483 million tons, compared to 2.183 million tons for the entire month of April 2025.
Brazil's soybean meal export figures are running ahead of last year's pace; the 1.483 million tons exported between April 1 and 17 already account for 68% of the total volume exported during the entire month of April last year, signaling robust international demand. This trend could lead to a tightening of global supplies and drive up spot market prices. In the futures market, the benchmark soybean meal contract (2609) recently closed at 2,984 RMB per ton—marking a slight decline of 15 points—amid high trading volume and stable open interest. The bullish impact of these strong export figures may lend support to a rebound in futures prices, thereby offsetting short-term downward pressure.
