According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, the cumulative output of plastic products in China for the period of January through February 2026 reached 11.852 million tons, representing a year-on-year increase of 5.2%."

For the January–February period, the top five provinces in terms of plastic product output were Zhejiang (2.036 million tons, accounting for 17.2%), Guangdong (1.884 million tons, 15.9%), Hubei (1.275 million tons, 10.8%), Shandong (964,000 tons, 8.1%), and Jiangsu (908,000 tons, 7.7%).

Regionally, the Eastern region maintained its lead in plastic product output during January and February of this year, with a cumulative total of 7.321 million tons, accounting for 61.8% of the national total. The Central region recorded a cumulative output of 3.004 million tons (25.3%), followed by the Western region with 1.296 million tons (10.9%) and the Northeastern region with 232,000 tons (2.0%).
