According to data released by the General Administration of Customs of China on April 18, China's exports of rubber tires reached 2.35 million tons in the first quarter of 2026, representing a year-on-year increase of 5%. The export value stood at 39.7 billion RMB, a year-on-year decrease of 0.7%.
Specifically, exports of new pneumatic rubber tires amounted to 2.26 million tons, up 4.8% year-on-year; the export value was 38.1 billion RMB, down 0.8% year-on-year. When calculated by unit count, exports reached 176.48 million tires, an increase of 4.2% year-on-year.
From January to March, exports of automotive tires totaled 1.97 million tons, up 4.2% year-on-year; the export value was 32.1 billion RMB, a year-on-year decline of 2%.
