In March, China imported 512,000 metric tons of steel, an increase of 143,000 metric tons from the previous month, representing a month-on-month growth of 38.8%; cumulative steel imports from January to March totaled 1.339 million metric tons, a year-on-year decrease of 14.1%.
In March, China imported 104.743 million metric tons of iron ore and its concentrates, an increase of 7.105 million metric tons from the previous month, representing a month-on-month growth of 7.3%; From January to March, cumulative imports of iron ore and its concentrates totaled 314.762 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 10.5%.
In March, China imported 39.059 million tons of coal and lignite, an increase of 8.116 million tons from the previous month, representing a month-on-month growth of 26.2%; from January to March, cumulative imports of coal and lignite totaled 116.279 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.3%.
