Since the launch of the new round of the "14th Five-Year Plan" Strategic Action for Mineral Exploration Breakthroughs, China Rare Earth (Liangshan) Co., Ltd. has actively responded to Sichuan Province's deployment for deep mineral exploration in important mines and entrusted the No.1 Geological Brigade of Sichuan Province to carry out the deep mineral exploration project of the Niutuping Rare Earth Mine in Mianning County. Over the past three years, the project has overcome numerous difficulties such as the complex geological conditions for deep mineral exploration, water inrush in the mining area, and high-cold operations. By introducing advanced equipment like fully hydraulic integrated drilling rigs, and adopting new technologies such as UAV hyperspectral-geological-structural mapping and high-precision time-frequency electromagnetic measurement, it has completed 115,000 meters of drilling, 6.2 square kilometers of topographic and geological survey, and 68,500 sample analyses. It has identified in detail the distribution characteristics of ore bodies, ore types, and the technical performance of ore processing and beneficiation, achieving major breakthroughs in mineral exploration. The preserved resource reserves of rare earth mines in the province have increased by 321%. This has not only significantly enhanced China's guarantee capacity for rare earth resources and consolidated the bottom line of national resource security but also is of great strategic significance for stabilizing the rare earth industry chain and supply chain, providing a solid resource foundation for China to maintain its competitive advantage in the global rare earth industry pattern.
