Price trend

On February 24, the benchmark price of 1,4-butanediol (BDO) on SunSirs was 7,371.43 RMB/ton, an increase of 0.19% compared with the beginning of the month (7,357.14 RMB/ton).

In East China, the mainstream negotiated price for bulk BDO was 7,300-7,500 RMB/ton, and the negotiated price for drummed BDO was 8,300-8,500 RMB/ton (acceptance, delivery). In South China, the mainstream negotiated price for bulk BDO was 7,500-7,700 RMB/ton, and the negotiated price for drummed BDO was 8,500-8,700 RMB/ton (acceptance, delivery).

Market Dynamics:

The BDO market in South China remained weak and stable. Although some plants announced maintenance shutdowns, the impact on the market was limited. Downstream demand was generally weak, and the market focus remained unchanged.

The BDO market in East China remained quiet and stable. Following the holiday, some plants announced maintenance shutdowns, but the market response was muted. Downstream demand recovery was slow, and the market focus remained unchanged.
