Price trend

On February 11, the benchmark price of 1,4-butanediol on SunSirs was 7,371.43 RMB/ton, an increase of 0.19% compared with the beginning of the month (7,357.14 RMB/ton).

On February 11, in East China, the mainstream negotiated price for bulk BDO was 7,300-7,500 RMB/ton, and the negotiated price for drummed BDO was 8,300-8,500 RMB/ton (acceptance, delivery). In South China, the mainstream negotiated price for bulk BDO was 7,500-7,700 RMB/ton, and the negotiated price for drummed BDO was 8,500-8,700 RMB/ton (acceptance, delivery).

Market Dynamics:

The BDO market in East China saw narrow fluctuations. Supply was ample, while downstream demand was moderate, increasing supply-demand pressure and resulting in a weak market.

The BDO market in South China experienced range-bound trading. With the Spring Festival holiday approaching, market participants closed early for the holidays, leading to subdued trading and minimal price fluctuations.
