Market analysis
Upstream propylene prices were stabilizing, and isobutyraldehyde costs were also stabilizing. Yantai Wanhua's neopentyl glycol price was 7,750-7,900 RMB/ton, an increase from previous prices. Downstream neopentyl glycol prices were also rising, leading to increased downstream purchasing activity. Isobutyraldehyde operating rates were high, resulting in ample supply. Overall, upward support for isobutyraldehyde prices remained, while downward pressure was weakening.
