On February 11th, the DBP market in Jiangsu province stabilized slightly after a period of weakness, with prices quoted at 7,800 RMB/ton. The DBP market in Shandong province also stabilized slightly after a period of weakness, with prices quoted at 7,700 RMB/ton. The DBP market in Zhejiang province also stabilized slightly after a period of weakness, with prices quoted at 7,900 RMB/ton.

Market analysis

On February 11th, the price of n-butanol, a raw material for DBP plasticizer, fell from its high level, while phthalic anhydride prices remained weak and consolidated. Isooctyl alcohol prices also declined, leading to a slight decrease in DBP raw material costs. PVC prices fluctuated and consolidated, downstream demand was weak, DBP plant operating rates decreased slightly, DBP supply was ample, DBP factory inventories were low, and downstream customer purchasing activity was generally low. Transaction prices were based on negotiation, with DBP prices ranging from 7,700-7,900 RMB/ton, indicating a weak consolidation. Downward pressure on DBP prices remained, while upward momentum weakened, resulting in a weak consolidation in the DBP market.
