According to the latest customs data, China imported 90,200 metric tons of VCM(Vinyl Chloride Monomer) products in December 2025, representing a year-on-year decrease of 10.27% and a month-on-month increase of 137.92%. China exported 8,700 metric tons of VCM products during the same period, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 43.92% and a month-on-month decrease of 4.46%. From January to December 2025, China's cumulative VCM imports totaled 759,500 metric tons, down 1.55% year-on-year. Cumulative VCM exports reached 145,900 metric tons, down 5.9% year-on-year.
By import/export regions, in December 2025, China imported VCM products from Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea. Imports via general trade and processing trade amounted to 44,400 metric tons from Japan, 25,000 metric tons from Taiwan, and 20,800 metric tons from South Korea. In December 2025, China's VCM exports were directed to India and Vietnam, with 5,600 metric tons exported to India and 3,000 metric tons to Vietnam under general trade arrangements. From January to December 2025, China's primary VCM import sources were Japan, Taiwan, China, and South Korea. Imports from Japan totaled 394,500 metric tons, accounting for 51.93% of the total; imports from Taiwan, China totaled 205,200 metric tons, accounting for 27.02%; and imports from South Korea reached 159,900 metric tons, representing 21.05%. From January to December 2025, China's primary export destinations for VCM products were India and Vietnam. Exports to India amounted to 62,000 metric tons, constituting 42.49% of total exports; while exports to Vietnam reached 56,900 metric tons, accounting for 38.99%.
