Price trend:

The price of boric acid has remained stable recently. According to SunSirs' commodity price analysis system, as of December 31st, the average price of boric acid in the domestic SunSirs' market was 8,500 RMB/ton. As of December 31st, domestic boric acid traders were quoting prices in the range of 8,300-8,500 RMB/ton (actual transaction prices vary depending on brand, specifications, and are subject to negotiation), with mainstream prices ranging from 8,100-8,500 RMB/ton depending on sales volume.

Regarding overseas imported goods, the quoted prices for imported orthoboric acid were concentrated between 8,400 and 9,900 RMB/ton (prices vary depending on brand and specifications, and actual transaction prices were subject to negotiation). According to the business-to-business commodity price analysis system of SunSirs, the average market price of imported orthoboric acid is 9,133.33 RMB/ton, an increase of 0.74% compared to the average market price of 9,066.67 RMB/ton at the beginning of December.

Market Outlook

Orthoboric acid prices had rebounded from their lows in April 2025 and are currently trading in a high-level consolidation range. Unless there is significant news, prices are expected to continue trading sideways in the short term.
