According to the latest customs statistics, in November 2025, China imported 0.085 million tons of caustic soda. Of this, solid caustic soda imports totaled 0.081 million tons, while liquid caustic soda imports amounted to 0.004 million tons. China's caustic soda exports totaled 247,300 metric tons, comprising 64,100 metric tons of solid caustic soda and 183,200 metric tons of liquid caustic soda.

From January to November 2025, China's cumulative caustic soda imports reached 82,000 metric tons, representing a year-on-year decrease of 46.05%. This included cumulative imports of 78,000 metric tons of solid caustic soda and 4,000 metric tons of liquid caustic soda. China's cumulative caustic soda exports reached 3.7325 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 36.7%. Among these, solid caustic soda exports totaled 612,100 tons, up 40.74% year-on-year, while liquid caustic soda exports amounted to 3.1204 million tons, rising 35.93% year-on-year.

From January to November 2025, the top five export destinations for China's liquid caustic soda were Indonesia (39.81%), Australia (36.85%), Taiwan, China (7.24%), Papua New Guinea (2.98%), and Saudi Arabia (2.31%). The top five export destinations for solid caustic soda were Vietnam (10.81%), Uzbekistan (7.96%), Indonesia (7.72%), Kazakhstan (6.11%), and Ghana (4.73%).
