According to the SunSirs' commodity price analysis system, the average market price of caprolactam-grade ammonium sulfate in China was 1,080 RMB/ton on December 26th, while the average market price on December 1st was 1,173 RMB/ton. This represents a 7.95% decrease in the price of ammonium sulfate this month.

Market Analysis

This month, the ammonium sulfate market price showed a weak downward trend. Coking-grade production remained stable, while caprolactam-grade production decreased. In the first half of the month, the ammonium sulfate market remained stable. Market transactions were generally sluggish, with some support from the supply side of caprolactam-grade ammonium sulfate, but downstream demand was weak as buyers purchased only as needed. In the second half of the month, the ammonium sulfate market continued its weak downward trend. Market transactions were weak, and downstream buyers adopted a wait-and-see attitude, reluctant to buy on a falling market. Ammonium sulfate exports were also weak, resulting in an overall sluggish market. As of December 26th, the mainstream ex-factory price for coking-grade ammonium sulfate in Shandong province was around 900 RMB/ton. The mainstream ex-factory price for caprolactam-grade ammonium sulfate in Shandong province was around 1,020-1,130 RMB/ton.

According to the weekly candlestick chart from September 29, 2025 to December 15, 2025, domestic ammonium sulfate prices fluctuated during this period. Domestic ammonium sulfate prices fell significantly in December, with the largest drop of 6.25% occurring in the week of December 15th.

Market Outlook
