SunSirs: The Domestic Titanium Dioxide Market Rose in December
December 31 2025 11:00:06SunSirs(John)

Price trend

Taking sulfuric acid process rutile titanium dioxide, which has a large sales volume in the domestic market, as an example, data monitored by SunSirs shows that the domestic titanium dioxide market price increased in December. On December 1st, the average price of titanium dioxide was 13,500 RMB/ton, and on December 26th, the average price was 13,740 RMB/ton, representing a price increase of 1.78%.

Market analysis

In December, domestic titanium dioxide prices increased. In the first ten days of the month, titanium dioxide producers faced significant cost pressure, and companies continued the price increases from the previous month. In the middle of the month, market conditions were generally stable with a wait-and-see attitude prevailing, resulting in a stalemate in the titanium dioxide market. In the latter part of the month, several titanium dioxide companies, including Longbai, Daon, Titan, and Annada, issued notices again to increase titanium dioxide prices. As of December 26, the quoted price for domestic sulfuric acid process rutile titanium dioxide was mostly between 12,900 and 14,300 RMB/ton; anatase type was around 12,200-12,700 RMB/ton, with actual transaction prices negotiated on a case-by-case basis.

According to customs data, China's titanium dioxide imports in November 2025 were approximately 0.53 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 20.29% and a month-on-month decrease of 5.37%. The average import price was $3,083 per ton, a month-on-month decrease of 3.98%

According to customs data, China's titanium dioxide exports in November 2025 were approximately 152,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.96% and a month-on-month increase of 3.97%. The average export price was $1,877 per ton, a month-on-month decrease of 0.18%.

Market outlook

According to analysts at SunSirs, the high production costs this month had put significant pressure on titanium dioxide manufacturers. The market had seen two consecutive rounds of price increases, and manufacturers were actively raising prices. The market was still in the process of accepting the new price quotes. It is expected that the market will remain stable with an upward trend in the short term, and actual transaction prices will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
