In November, production from medium-thick plate rolling mills and cold continuous rolling mills at key statistical enterprises increased year-on-year, while hot continuous rolling mill output saw a slight decline. Among major plate grades, pipeline steel plates and shipbuilding plates recorded significant year-on-year production growth, whereas container plate output experienced a notable year-on-year decrease.

Regarding product prices, all product prices declined month-on-month except for extra-thick plates. From January to November, the cumulative output of medium and thick plate mills, hot continuous mills, and cold continuous mills all increased year-on-year. Among major plate products, shipbuilding plates and wind power steel plates saw significant year-on-year increases in output, while container plates experienced a substantial year-on-year decline.

I. Strip Mill Production Status Medium and Heavy Plate Mills produced 6.18 million tons of extra-thick and medium-thick plates in November, up 360,000 tons (6.1%) year-on-year. Cumulative production reached 69.62 million tons, increasing by 2.64 million tons (4.0%) year-on-year. Hot strip mills produced 15.73 million tons in November, down 70,000 tons or 0.4% year-on-year. Cumulative production reached 176.77 million tons, up 1.37 million tons or 0.8% year-on-year. Cold strip mills produced 67.9 million tons in November, up 300,000 tons or 4.7% year-on-year. Cumulative production reached 74.14 million tons, up 740,000 tons or 1.0% year-on-year.

II. Poduction and Sales of Major Products

(A) Medium and Heavy Plate Rolling Mill Products

In November, production of extra-thick plates reached 630,000 tons, down 110,000 tons or 14.4% year-on-year. Sales totaled 670,000 tons at an average price of 4,415 yuan/ton, up 25 yuan/ton from the previous month. Cumulative production of extra-thick plates reached 9.01 million tons, down 20,000 tons or 0.2% year-on-year.

November saw medium and thick plate production at 5.55 million tons, up 460,000 tons or 9.1% year-on-year. Sales reached 5.58 million tons at an average price of 4,041 yuan/ton, down 46 yuan/ton from the previous month. Cumulative medium and thick plate production totaled 60.61 million tons, increasing by 2.66 million tons or 4.6% year-on-year.

(II) Hot-Rolled Products

In November, production of medium-thick wide steel strips reached 6.73 million tons, down 10,000 tons year-on-year, a decrease of 0.1%. Sales totaled 6.71 million tons at an average price of 3,479 yuan per ton, down 40 yuan per ton from the previous month. Cumulative production of medium-thick wide steel strips reached 74.14 million tons, up 70,000 tons year-on-year, an increase of 1.0%.

In November, hot-rolled thin wide strip production reached 2.16 million tons, down 240,000 tons year-on-year, a decrease of 10.0%. Sales totaled 2.30 million tons at an average price of 3,563 yuan/ton, down 61 yuan/ton from the previous month. Cumulative hot-rolled thin wide strip production reached 26.18 million tons, down 540,000 tons year-on-year, a decrease of 2.0%.

(3) Cold-Rolled Products

In November, cold-rolled thin-wide strip production reached 3.51 million tons, up 240,000 tons or 7.5% year-on-year. Sales totaled 3.41 million tons at an average price of 4,133 yuan per ton, down 36 yuan per ton from the previous month. Cumulative production of cold-rolled thin-wide strip stood at 37.53 million tons, down 180,000 tons or 0.5% year-on-year.

November saw galvanized sheet production reach 2.36 million tons, up 40,000 tons year-on-year (1.7% increase). Sales totaled 2.36 million tons at an average price of 4,871 yuan/ton, down 39 yuan/ton from the previous month. Cumulative galvanized sheet production reached 25.6 million tons, up 700,000 tons year-on-year (2.8% increase).

In November, tinplate production reached 100,000 tons, down 9,000 tons or 7.9% year-on-year. Cumulative production totaled 1.15 million tons, decreasing by 80,000 tons or 6.2% year-on-year. In November, color-coated sheet production amounted to 170,000 tons, down 8,000 tons or 4.2% year-on-year. Cumulative production reached 2.14 million tons, decreasing by 150,000 tons or 6.4% year-on-year.
