The average price of edible first grade corn starch at the beginning of the week was 2,820.00 RMB/ton, and the average price over the weekend was 2,816.00 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.14% during the week.

In late December, the domestic corn market prices slightly decreased, raw material costs slightly lowered, and downstream demand fell short of expectations, resulting in relatively high starch inventories. The domestic corn starch market prices continued to be under pressure and operated weakly.

The corn starch product analyst at SunSirs believes that with weak costs and overall stable downstream demand, the domestic corn starch market price will continue to follow the cost of raw materials in the short term.
