According to the latest customs data, China imported 39,800 metric tons of dichloroethane products in November 2025, representing a significant year-on-year increase but a 14.05% month-on-month decrease. China's EDC exports totaled 160 metric tons, down 27.27% year-on-year but up 15.32% month-on-month. From January to November 2025, China's cumulative EDC imports reached 350,300 metric tons, a 317.44% increase year-on-year; cumulative exports amounted to 1,840.25 metric tons, down 74.84% year-on-year.
By import/export regions: In November 2025, China's primary EDC import sources were South Korea and Indonesia, with 32,500 metric tons imported from South Korea and 7,300 metric tons from Indonesia under general trade arrangements. The primary export destinations for China's EDC products were Vietnam, Russia, Kenya, and Nigeria. Exports were mainly conducted through general trade, with 100 tons shipped to Vietnam, 20 tons to Russia, 20 tons to Kenya, and 20 tons to Nigeria. From January to November 2025, China's primary dichloroethane import sources were South Korea, the United States, and Oman, with imports totaling 262,600 metric tons from South Korea, 66,300 metric tons from the United States, and 10,000 metric tons from Oman. China's primary export destinations for EDC products were Vietnam, Nigeria, Taiwan, and Angola. Exports to Vietnam totaled 1,420.25 tons, accounting for 77.18% of total exports; exports to Nigeria reached 80 tons, representing 4.35%; exports to Taiwan amounted to 61.25 tons, constituting 3.33%; and exports to Angola totaled 60 tons, making up 3.26%.
