According to China's Ministry of Transport, the country's port cargo throughput reached 16.75 billion tons in the first 11 months of this year, marking a 4.4% year-on-year increase. Container throughput hit 320 million TEUs, up 6.6% year-on-year. Among these, foreign trade container throughput grew by 9.5% year-on-year.
The continuous expansion of foreign trade shipping networks and the ongoing upgrading of export product structures have injected strong momentum into China's high-quality foreign trade development. Data shows that China's international container liner routes now cover more than 100 countries and regions. Export goods are accelerating their shift from traditional low-value-added products like agricultural products and light industrial textiles to high-tech, high-value-added products such as precision instruments, high-end machinery and equipment, electric vehicles, and industrial robots.
