According to the latest customs data, China imported 551.2 metric tons of hydrochloric acid in October 2025, representing a year-on-year decrease of 25.8%. Major import sources were: Taiwan Province of China (415.8 metric tons, accounting for 75.4%); Japan (118.9 metric tons, accounting for 21.6%).
In October 2025, China exported 3,562.1 tons of hydrochloric acid, marking a 204.6% year-on-year increase. Major export destinations included: Indonesia (1,688.0 tons, 47.4% share); Guinea (529.0 tons, 14.9% share); and Hong Kong, China (207.0 tons, 5.8% share).
From January to October 2025, China imported 6,567.1 tons of hydrogen chloride (hydrochloric acid), a decrease of 10.5% year-on-year. Major import sources were: Taiwan Province of China (4,370.3 tons, accounting for 66.5%); Japan (2,046.0 tons, accounting for 31.2%). From January to October 2025, China exported 24,946.9 tons of hydrogen chloride (hydrochloric acid), a year-on-year increase of 70.3%. Major export destinations included: Indonesia (7,023.9 tons, 28.2% share); Cambodia (3,977.8 tons, 15.9% share); and Guinea (2,864.6 tons, 11.5% share).
