According to the monitoring of 500 county-level markets and collection points across the country, in the first week of December ( collection date was December 4th ), the prices of eggs, sheep, soybean meal, fattening pig compound feed, and layer chicken compound feed increased compared to the previous week, while the prices of pig products, chicken, and live cattle decreased compared to the previous week. The prices of commercial broiler chicks, beef, raw milk, corn, and broiler chicken compound feed remained unchanged compared to the previous week.
Live pig prices. The national average price of piglets was 23.71 RMB per kilogram, down 0.7% week-on-week and down 29.6% year-on-year. Piglet prices increased in Ningxia, Guangxi, Jiangxi, Hunan, Hainan and other 7 provinces, and decreased in Liaoning, Hubei, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Gansu and other 20 provinces. The prices in Tianjin and Anhui remained unchanged. The price in the South China region was higher, at 28.17 RMB per kilogram; the price in the North China region was lower, at 22.09 RMB per kilogram. The national average price of live pigs was 12.21 RMB per kilogram, down 1.0% week-on-week and down 27.8% year-on-year. Pig prices increased in Shanghai, Guangxi, Hainan and Guizhou provinces, and decreased in Shanxi, Beijing, Heilongjiang, Liaoning, Xinjiang and other 25 provinces. The price in Hubei remained unchanged. The price in the South China region was higher, at 13.07 RMB per kilogram; the price in the Northeast region was lower, at 11.70 RMB per kilogram. The national average price of pork was 22.74 RMB per kilogram, down 0.5% week-on-week and down 19.3% year-on-year. Pork prices increased in Ningxia, Hainan, Beijing, Guangxi and Fujian provinces, and decreased in Henan, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Gansu, Shaanxi and other 22 provinces. The prices in Tianjin and Hunan remained unchanged. The price in the South China region was higher, at 26.48 RMB per kilogram; the price in the Northeast region was lower, at 19.50 RMB per kilogram.
Prices of poultry products. The average national egg price was 8.61 yuan per kilogram, up 0.2% from the previous week and down 22.4% year-on-year. The egg prices in 10 major producing provinces such as Hebei and Liaoning were 7.18 yuan per kilogram, up 1.3% from the previous week and down 28.5% year-on-year. The average national chicken price was 22.30 yuan per kilogram, down 0.1% from the previous week and down 5.1% year-on-year. The average price of commercial layer chicks was 3.49 yuan per chick, unchanged from the previous week and down 12.8% year-on-year. The average price of commercial broiler chicks was 3.41 yuan per chick, unchanged from the previous week and down 8.3% year-on-year.
Prices of beef and mutton products. The national average price of beef was 71.32 RMB per kilogram, unchanged from the previous week, up 7.1% year-on-year. The average price of beef in Hebei, Inner Mongolia and other 10 major producing provinces was 65.20 RMB per kilogram, unchanged from the previous week. The average live cattle price in major producing provinces was 26.53 RMB per kilogram, down 0.3% from the previous week, up 15.0% year-on-year. The national average price of mutton was 71.51 RMB per kilogram, up 0.2% from the previous week, up 2.3% year-on-year. The average price of mutton in Hebei, Inner Mongolia and other 10 major producing provinces was 69.13 RMB per kilogram, up 0.2% from the previous week. The average live sheep price in major producing provinces was 30.01 RMB per kilogram, up 0.3% from the previous week, up 3.5% year-on-year.
Raw milk price. Inner Mongolia, Hebei and other 10 major producing provinces, the average price of raw milk is 3.02 RMB per kilogram, unchanged from the previous week, down 3.2% year-on-year.
Feed prices. The national average price of corn is 2.43 RMB per kilogram, unchanged from the previous week, up 3.8% year-on-year. The corn price in the main production areas of Northeast China is 2.24 RMB per kilogram, up 0.4% from the previous week; the corn price in the main consumption areas of Guangdong Province is 2.48 RMB per kilogram, up 0.8% from the previous week. The national average price of soybean meal is 3.30 RMB per kilogram, up 0.3% from the previous week, down 0.3% year-on-year. The average price of compound feed for fattening pigs is 3.36 RMB per kilogram, up 0.3% from the previous week, down 0.6% year-on-year. The average price of compound feed for broilers is 3.49 RMB per kilogram, unchanged from the previous week, down 0.3% year-on-year. The average price of compound feed for layer chickens is 3.22 RMB per kilogram, up 0.3% from the previous week, up 0.6% year-on-year.
