Data from the National Bureau of Statistics shows that in October 2025, China's ethylene production reached 3.139 million tons, marking an 11.7% year-on-year increase. Cumulative ethylene production from January to October totaled 30.579 million tons, up 10.7% year-on-year.

The top five provinces by ethylene output in October were: Jiangsu (590,000 tons, 18.8% share), Guangdong (506,000 tons, 16.1%), Fujian (272,000 tons, 8.7%), Liaoning (267,000 tons, 8.5%), and Shandong (235,000 tons, 7.5%).

From January to October, the top five provinces in China's cumulative ethylene production were Jiangsu (5.215 million tons), Guangdong (4.959 million tons), Liaoning (3.054 million tons), Fujian (2.636 million tons), and Zhejiang (2.302 million tons), accounting for 17.1%, 16.2%, 10.0%, 8.6%, and 7.5% respectively.
