On December 15, the National Bureau of Statistics released data showing that in November, the value-added output of large-scale industrial enterprises increased by 4.8% year-on-year in real terms. Among these, the petroleum and natural gas extraction industry grew by 5.1% year-on-year, while the chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing sector rose by 6.7%.

From January to November, industrial output value of enterprises above designated size grew by 6.0% year-on-year. Among these, the petroleum and natural gas extraction industry increased by 4.2%, while the chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing sector rose by 7.8%.

By major industrial category, mining output value grew by 6.3% year-on-year in November, manufacturing increased by 4.6%, and the electricity, heat, gas, and water production and supply sector expanded by 4.3%.

By economic type, in November, value-added of state-controlled enterprises increased by 4.2% year-on-year; shareholding enterprises grew by 5.2%, foreign-funded and Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan-funded enterprises increased by 3.4%; and private enterprises grew by 3.2%.

By industry, in November, value-added increased year-on-year in 30 out of 41 major industries. Among them, coal mining and washing grew by 7.5%, oil and natural gas extraction increased by 5.1%, and processing of agricultural and sideline products rose by 1.7%. However, the manufacture of alcoholic beverages, beverages, and refined tea declined by 0.6%, while textiles grew by 1.8%. Chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing increased by 6.7%, non-metallic mineral products manufacturing decreased by 1.8%, ferrous metal smelting and rolling increased by 0.9%, non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling grew by 4.8%, general-purpose equipment manufacturing rose by 7.5%, special-purpose equipment manufacturing advanced by 4.8%, automobile manufacturing surged by 11.9%, and rail, ship, aerospace, and other transport equipment manufacturing climbed by 11.9%. Electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing increased by 4.4%, computer, communications, and other electronic equipment manufacturing grew by 9.2%, and electricity and heat production and supply grew by 4.2%.

By product, in November, output of 310 out of 623 industrial products above designated size increased year-on-year. Among them, steel output reached 115.91 million tons, down 2.6% year-on-year; cement output reached 154.34 million tons, down 8.2%; nonferrous metals reached 6.99 million tons, up 4.7%; ethylene production totaled 3.09 million tons, rising 7.3%; automobile production amounted to 3.519 million units, increasing 2.4% (including 1.841 million new energy vehicles, up 17.0%); electricity generation reached 779.2 billion kilowatt-hours, growing 2.7%; and crude oil processing volume reached 60.83 million tons, rising 3.9%.

In November, the product sales rate of industrial enterprises above designated size stood at 96.5%, down 0.8 percentage points year-on-year. Export delivery value of industrial enterprises above designated size reached 1.361 trillion yuan, down 0.1% in nominal terms year-on-year.
