According to the Malaysian Bureau of Statistics on December 11th, the export volume of natural rubber in October 2025 increased by 9.9% year-on-year to 52,932 tons, with a month on month increase of 57.8%. Among them, 55.3% are exported to China, followed by 9.4% from Germany, 8.7% from the United Arab Emirates, 8% from the United States, and 2.7% from Egypt.
The import volume of natural rubber in Malaysia in October was 68,318 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 21.3% and a month on month increase of 7.8%. Standard rubber, concentrated latex, and other shaped natural rubber are the main import categories, with their main source countries being Thailand, Cote d'Ivoire, the Philippines, Myanmar, and others.
The total monitored natural rubber production in October was 29,673 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 22.7% and a month on month increase of 11.4%. Among them, the output of small plantations accounts for 86.5%, and the output of state-owned plantations accounts for 13.5%.
In October, Malaysia's natural rubber inventory was 145,438 tons, a month on month decrease of 8.9% and a year-on-year increase of 8%. 80.1% of the inventory is concentrated in the hands of rubber processors, with downstream terminal inventory accounting for 19.8% and large plantation owner inventory accounting for 0.1%.
In October, the total consumption of natural rubber in China increased by 0.7% year-on-year to 24,275 tons, a decrease of 1.6% compared to the previous month. The latex glove industry remains the main force in Malaysia's natural rubber consumption, accounting for 69.6% of the total consumption. Tire and hose consumption accounts for 8.2%, rubber thread accounts for 11.4%, and other industries such as rubber shoes account for 10.8%.
