Recently, it has been reported that due to factors such as US tariff policies, the annual export volume of South Korean cars is expected to decline for the first time in five years.
The Korea Association of Automobile Manufacturers predicts that the export volume of Korean cars this year will be between 2.71 million and 2.72 million units, a decrease of about 2.3% to 2.6% compared to last year's 2.7826 million units.
It is reported that the decline in exports is mainly due to a decrease in exports from South Korea's largest automobile export market to the United States. From January to October this year, South Korea's automobile exports to the United States were approximately 1.1075 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 7.9%. The industry is concerned that the long-term implementation of US tariff policies and trade protectionism will put greater pressure on South Korean car exports.
